Ohio Today spring issue available to OHIO employees online and at campus distribution points

The spring 2022 issue of Ohio Today, Ohio University’s alumni magazine, has been released and is available to OHIO faculty and staff online at ohiotoday.org. A limited number of hard copies of the magazine are available for pick-up at the following distribution points on each OHIO campus:

  • Athens Campus – Copies are available at the fourth-floor guest services desk at Baker University Center and in the second-floor vestibule of Alden Library.   
  • Chillicothe Campus – Copies are available in the Dean’s Office.  
  • Cleveland Campus – Copies are available in the Cleveland HCOM lobby.  
  • Dublin Campus – Copies are available in the Dean’s Suite (Suite 350) of Medical Education Building 1 and in Suite 230 of the Dublin Integrated Education Center.  
  • Eastern Campus – Copies are available in the Dean’s Office.  
  • Lancaster Campus – Copies are available in the Dean’s Office.  
  • Southern Campus – Copies are available in the Dean’s Office.  
  • Zanesville Campus – Copies are available outside the Dean’s Office and inside the suite of faculty offices.

Care lives here — Heritage Hall welcomed its first students fall semester, ushering in a new chapter for medical education at OHIO and the campus landscape. 

History meets artistry — Seigfred Hall’s newly dedicated Don E. Adleta TypeShop and Bindery is employing printing processes and instruments of the past to fuel the creative minds of the future. 

Game on! — Behind the scenes of investments in Ohio University’s growing esports program lies a group of motivated students, successful alumni and faculty who see the abundance of opportunities in the industry and are sending a message to the world of competitive gaming: OHIO is ready to play.

A tale of two titans — Read about how extraordinary innovation, Bobcat connections and unwavering determination turned an OHIO discovery into a life-saving drug that has netted record-breaking royalties for the University.

Scripps Hall: From print to pixels — Ohio Today’s “Time Machine” feature looks at the evolution of what began as the first campus building established for use as a library and has become OHIO’s home for educating students skilled in the latest means of storytelling, information sharing and entertaining — and a new esports arena.

The family doctors of the future — 2021 graduates pioneer an accelerated, community-based medical education program developed in partnership with Cleveland Clinic.  

A hub for student support — A new office and student success model are reconceptualizing the OHIO experience and paving the way for achievement on campus and after graduation.

Year in, year out — Ohio Today shines a spotlight on alumnus Gary Clark, who holds a meaningful record at his alma mater as the institution’s longest-running annual donor.

Last word — For more than 20 years, Ohio University Zanesville’s Dr. Kitty Consolo has used her experience – and her extraordinary legacy in women’s sports – to inspire OHIO students to live what they are learning.
