OHIO experts discuss accessibility during Global Accessibility Awareness Day

In honor of Global Accessibility Awareness day on May 20, Ohio University deans and professors discussed ways we can improve accessibility, as well as identify accessibility challenges that many individuals experience every day, in the latest Ask the Experts livestream. They talked about how to be more inclusive when designing for those with disabilities, accessibility issues in the digital space, and resources that can support accessibility.

The discussion can be viewed on the Ohio University YouTube channel, on the Ohio University Facebook page, and below.

The discussion featured Carey Busch, interim dean of University College, Greg Kremer, professor of mechanical engineering in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology, and John McCarthy, professor and interim dean of the College of Health Sciences and Professions.

Samantha Pelham, OHIO media relations specialist, moderated the discussion, which included questions from the general public posted to OHIO’s social media channels.

Panel discussions on topical issues, which include opportunities for University and community engagement, are hosted regularly on the University’s Facebook and YouTube page.
