OHIO accepting graffiti wall design contest submissions through April 9

Calling all creatives — Ohio University is looking for current OHIO students or alumni to participate in a graffiti wall design contest, with illustrations that celebrate one of the most cherished moments at Ohio University: Commencement.

The winner of the contest will have their design painted on OHIO’s storied graffiti wall at the intersection of West Mulberry Street, Richland Avenue and President Street. A version of the graffiti wall has been a staple on Ohio University’s Athens Campus since the early 1970s, and exists as a space for students to express themselves through paint.

Entries are being accepted between April 2 and April 9. The host of the contest, University Communications and Marketing, will choose four designs to be voted on by the public during the week of April 12-16. Public voting will take place on social media and on www.ohio.edu/graffiti-wall. The winner will be announced on Monday, April 19, on social media and the website.

For more information, visit www.ohio.edu/graffiti-wall. To submit your design and to view contest rules, visit this submission form. Download the graffiti wall template here.
