President Nellis celebrates Pride Month

Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis released a video message June 11 about the university’s celebration of Pride Month. 

The LGBT Center is sponsoring a range of virtual events in honor of Pride Month, which occurs each June to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York. The full list may be viewed here: https://www.ohio.edu/news/2020/06/ohio-university-celebrates-pride-2020-virtual-events. 

“Many of Ohio University’s Pride Month events are designed to help us think about the complex ways in which LGBTQ+ issues intersect with pressing concerns, such as racism, health and wellness,” President Nellis said.
