Internal Awards available to OHIO faculty and staff for COVID-19 response

The Center for Campus and Community Engagement is releasing funding to support Internal Awards for COVID-19 Community Response to Ohio University faculty and staff on all Ohio University campuses. These awards are intended to support community engagement initiatives and projects that address needs emerging in our communities across the region.

The COVID-19 pandemic is already having devastating impacts in our communities—including emergency health and safety conditions, increased food and housing insecurity, disrupted education systems, and derailed local economies.

Despite limited resources, we see community members coming together across our region to help their neighbors and weather this storm. The Center for Campus and Community Engagement is committed to building on these demonstrations of Appalachian resiliency and supporting our communities in this time of need.

Projects are expected to result in tangible impact in our communities and innovative proposals are encouraged.

Proposals are being accepted on a rolling basis with limited funding available. Awards of up to $5,000 will be granted. For more information, see the Call for Proposals on the Center for Campus and Community Engagement website. Proposals can be submitted by email to communityengagement@ohio.edu. Questions can be directed to Mary Nally, director of the Center for Campus and Community Engagement at nallym@ohio.edu.
