SBDC, PTAC, TechGROWTH available to assist businesses with Economic Injury Disaster Loan and more during pandemic response

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC),  Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), TechGROWTH Ohio, LIGHTS and the Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem (SEE), all part of Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs, are working with small and local, private and non-profit business owners to use the following resources available from the state and federal government to help keep their businesses afloat during the pandemic. 

To overcome the temporary loss of revenue and to help alleviate economic injury caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is expanding services as per the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, signed by President Donald Trump.

“The Ohio University SBDC provides a wide array of business assistance in multiple functional areas including finance, marketing and operations,” SBDC Regional Director Lissa Jollick said. “Our staff has a depth of experience and expertise that can truly guide businesses to achieve success.”

Business owners are encouraged to reach out to SBDC and PTAC, which are holding virtual meetings, to provide immediate business advice.

“Don’t panic, look to the future, work with us and our network partners like the SBDC to remain current on available resources and assistance with your business needs,” PTAC Regional Program Manager Sharon Hopkins said. “Take advantage of any slowdown in your business to work with our staff and qualify your business to sell to government agencies.”
