Programs

The Global Health Initiative partners with OHIO faculty, OHIO alumni, the Office of Global Opportunities and third party organizations to offer a variety of international global health opportunities. These include OHIO faculty directed programs as well as opportunities for independent medical rotations, study abroad, service learning experiences and internships. The multidisciplinary nature of the different programs makes them appropriate for students interested in health and medicine, the environment, international development, health education, international relief work and biology. Undergraduate, graduate and medical students are encouraged to apply. OHIO faculty directed programs are open to students of all higher education institutions in the U.S. and abroad as well as to faculty and alumni. Admittance into each program is at the discretion of the director. All students must be in good academic standing both at the time of application and departure of the program. Students who have been accepted into a program may forfeit all fees paid to date if their academic standing changes between application and program departure.
