Debra McBride is the Assistant Director of the Global Health Initiative where she facilitates annual program planning, manages programming and academic processes and monitors accomplishment of strategies and goals. She is also the Instructor for IHS 6523 Technology & Innovations in Global Health and IHS 2210 Introduction to Global Health in Costa Rica.
Debra has a Master’s Degree in International Administration with a specialization in Organizational Development and Training. She has over 25 years of professional experience working with the government, private and educational sectors. Her past experience includes directing a state and federally funded small business development organization, and ownership of a consulting practice focused on building the capacity of organizations and individuals.
For many years, Debra has been involved in both the state and federal Baldrige Performance excellence programs whose mission is to improve the competitiveness and performance of U.S. Organizations. She has been a national Baldrige Examiner for 10 years and an Examiner and Judge for The Partnership for Excellence (TPE), Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia’s performance excellence program, since its inception in 2000.
