‘90 Minutes Series’ to host two free showings of ‘Beautifully Broken’ movie Oct. 15

The Ohio University “90 Minutes Series” will host viewings of “Beautifully Broken,” at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at The Athena Cinema. The movie is free and open to the public.

“Beautifully Broken,” which is based on a true story, chronicles an African refugee’s escape, a prisoner’s promise and a daughter’s painful secret, which converge in this inspiring tale of hope. Three fathers fight to save their families and their lives become intertwined in what seems like an improbable journey across the globe, where they discover the healing power of forgiveness and reconciliation.

The “90 Minutes Series,” now in its third year, creates discussions on politics, racism, sexism and global topics.

Sponsors of the “90 Minutes Series” are: Associated Press Sports Editors, Black Student Cultural Programming Board; Housing and Residence Life; Office of Student Affairs; E.W. Scripps School of Journalism; Honors Tutorial College; Multicultural Center; and the Institute for Applied and Professional Ethics.
