President Nellis appointed to serve on State of Ohio economic development initiative

Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis was recently appointed to the Third Frontier Advisory Board by Ohio Governor John R. Kasich.

Committed to transforming the state’s economy through the accelerated growth of diverse startup and early stage technology companies, Ohio Third Frontier is a nationally recognized economic development initiative that provides access to a statewide network of resources to businesses and entrepreneurs. The network provides access to business expertise, mentorship, capital and talent to help turn great ideas into thriving companies and well-paying jobs.

“It is a true honor to be able to serve the state of Ohio through participation on the Third Frontier Advisory Board,” said President Nellis. “I look forward to contributing to the advancement of innovation, entrepreneurship and education in Ohio through this leadership role, as well as seeking a greater understanding of how Ohio University can best support this significant statewide initiative.” 
The 16-member Ohio Third Frontier Advisory Board was created to provide guidance to the Ohio Third Frontier Commission. Board members represent leaders from industry, academia and government who advise on strategic planning and general management and coordination of programs associated with the Ohio Third Frontier.
