iCUE Spotlight: Dec. 5-11, 2016

What's in the CUE this week at Ohio U.

The whole world seems to be gearing up for the holidays, but we've got to make it through finals week first. With only a few days left, remember to take a few breaks from working, studying and grading to make the most of the last week of fall semester. There are plenty of stress-busting activities to be enjoyed this week; be sure to visit the University's official Calendar of University Events (CUE) for a full list! And remember, anyone with an OHIO ID can add events that are happening on all OHIO campuses.

Here are a few highlights from the week ahead:

Finals by Alden Activities (Various days and times, Alden Library): Feeling overwhelmed by tests, essays, and group projects and looking for a way to blow off some steam? Alden has got you covered. With activities running the gamut from therapy dog visits and Twitter trivia contests to button-making craft breaks and a bingo study break, the library is the perfect place to ease your mind so you can refocus and conquer your finals!

SMART Dialogue Series: Enakshi Roy (Dec. 7, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Scripps Hall 212): The last installment of the Scripps College of Communication's Social Media Analytics Research Team Dialogue Series will feature Enakshi Roy, whose doctoral research has been a combination of online journalism and international journalism. Roy will present a talk on her research and a discussion will follow. Prepare a lunch and a few questions and join this seminar in the SMART Lab!

Fall Commencement (Dec. 10, 2 p.m., Convocation Center): To those of you who will be graduating this semester, congratulations future OHIO alumni! Be sure to invite your friends and family to see you receive your diploma, reap the benefits of your years of hard work, and prepare to head into the next phase of your life. Tickets are not required and the ceremony is roughly two and a half hours long. Check the CUE for graduation receptions, too! For example, a reception for graduates of the Patton College of Education will be held in Baker University Center 240/242 immediately following commencement.

#CUEtip: When you're filling out the event submission form, always add a full description! That's where you apply formatting and add clickable links. The summary and the full description will never appear together, so duplication is your friend!

Visit calendar.ohio.edu/admin/setupevents.aspx to log in with your OHIO ID and add your organization or department's events to the CUE. Feeling lost? Visit www.ohio.edu/calendar/help/ or e-mail calendar@ohio.edu for help.
