ESPN analyst Chris Broussard coming to Athens March 26

This event was rescheduled due to illness. The original date was Jan. 29.

The Ohio University chapter of Associated Press Sports Editors, in partnership with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., will sponsor a talk by ESPN NBA analyst/writer Chris Broussard at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, in Walter Hall 135.

Broussard will host a frank conversation on the role of sports in society and the state of African-American males. Justin Holbrock, APSE president, will serve as moderator of the event.

In bringing in Broussard, a graduate of Oberlin College, APSE looks at his appearance as an opportunity to expose aspiring journalists, sports fans, students, faculty and staff to one of the most respected authorities on professional basketball.

Broussard, founder of the Christian group K.I.N.G., has spent more than two decades in the profession. In his career, he has worked for the Akron Beacon-Journal, The Plain Dealer, The New York Times and
ESPN the Magazine and he has spoken across the country on issues such as the problems that black males face in America.

Residential Housing, Department of Student Affairs, the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, Office for Multicultural Student Access and Retention, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Kappa Alpha Psi have made generous contributions to make this program possible.
