Center for Community Impact

Center for Community Impact

The Center for Community Impact (CCI) aligns and amplifies Ohio University’s outreach, research, and partnership efforts through a central hub for collaboration. It connects faculty, students, alumni, and community partners around shared goals that strengthen Southeast Ohio and extend across the state and beyond—wherever social impact occurs.

CCI works to clear barriers to collaboration, elevate existing partnerships, and build long-term capacity for sustainable change. Our approach is grounded in reciprocity, recognizing that communities and the University learn from and shape one another. Local partners bring deep knowledge, lived experience, and vision; the University contributes resources, research, and engaged learning to advance community-driven priorities.

Together, we co-create solutions, scale local innovation, and advance engaged scholarship that benefit both campus and community. The Center serves as a welcoming front door for organizations seeking to work with Ohio University—and as a catalyst for the shared discovery, trust, and action that drive meaningful impact.
