Exercise Physiology Laboratory Community Outreach & Testing

The Exercise Physiology lab offers a wide variety of testing options for the community from body composition, resting metabolism, general fitness testing, or athlete testing. Keep reading to learn about all of our testing options.

Testing Options

  • Body Composition Analysis


    Bioelectrical impedance analysis via the InBody 770. Provides measurements of fat mass, muscle mass, and body water as well as cellular health and daily caloric needs. Includes professional interpretation of results. 

    • Test time: approximately 30 minutes
    • Cost: $25
  • Health Fitness Testing


    Health fitness testing includes resting blood pressure, height, weight, body mass index, body composition, submaximal exercise test, push-ups, grip strength, and flexibility. 

    • Test time: approximately 90 minutes
    • Cost: $100
  • Aerobic Capacity Testing (VO2max)


    Measurement of maximal cardiorespiratory fitness using individualized tests on either a treadmill or bike. Metabolic gas analysis included. 

    • Test time: approximately 90 minutes
    • Cost: $125

If you have had testing completed in our labs before, please use the link to select a test and submit a payment using the online system. Then, email hillman@ohio.edu to schedule a date and time to complete your test.
