Significant Research Paper or Applied Political Project Guidelines

Under special circumstances, students may be approved to create a Significant Research Paper or Applied Political Project in fulfilment of their culminating experience, written during their time as an M.A. student in War and Peace Studies. The significant paper or applied political project will be evaluated and approved by the Director of War and Peace Studies and the other members of the exam committee. As with the comprehensive exam the grading will be of a pass/no pass/fail outcomes. Students may re-submit their paper once should they receive a fail.

Students are allowed to update and develop their paper or project from one of their courses enhancing it in preparation for the culminating experience.

The culminating experience will prepare the students for problem solving challenges in the policy world and express their knowledge in written formats.
