Sital Chaulagain
I am Sital Chaulagain, from the country of Mt.Everest, Nepal. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language Teaching and a master's degree in public administration management in China. Professionally, I have worked in teaching, translation, and social development projects, by raising awareness programs in the community level.
My research interests focus on communication for social change, especially how Entertainment-Education tools like radio dramas and television can improve policy awareness and access for marginalized communities. I am particularly interested in addressing communication gaps in the context of Nepal which has directly affected the system and citizens.
Through the Communication and Development program at Ohio University, I hope to strengthen my skills in media and communication strategies and apply them to policy implementation and community development in Nepal.
A fun fact about me is that I enjoy storytelling and learning new languages.
