Communication and Development

Priscilla Adzimah is a purpose-driven communication and development professional with a strong background in qualitative and quantitative research across public health, education, migration, youth development, and social equity. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Communication and Development Studies at Ohio University.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Chinese from the University of Ghana, Priscilla brings a multidisciplinary lens to her work blending communication, strategy, and cultural sensitivity to address pressing social issues. Over the years, she has cultivated an impressive track record of applied research with organizations such as The Hunger Project Ghana, Education Sub Saharan Africa, The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), Plan International, and UNICEF Ghana (through its implementing partners).

Her research portfolio is both diverse and impactful, spanning several critical areas of social development. She has investigated sexual and reproductive health behaviors, including contraceptive use and community attitudes, while also examining child labor and the structural barriers that prevent vulnerable children from accessing education.

Priscilla's current academic work builds on this foundation, exploring how communication frameworks can shape behavior, influence policy, and improve outcomes in underserved communities.

Her professional ambition is to build a career at the intersection of academic research, health communication, and policy consulting, helping shape healthier and more inclusive communities in Ghana and beyond.
