Mercy Simbi

I am Mercy Simbi, Malawian.  A holder of Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Blantyre International University, a Diploma in Journalism-Credit from Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences-MUBAS and a Certificate in Journalism from Malawi Institute of Journalism-MIJ. I also have a certificate in Behavior Change Communication obtained from Malawi Institute of Management, a certificate in Social and Behavior Change Communication Theories and Models from Wits University-South and University of Malawi.  

I founded Applied Development Communication and Training Services-ADECOTS where I lead manage, design, conceptualize, produce and present radio and television Social and Behavior Change programs. 
I plan to use my PhD in Communication for Development to help turn my organization into a hub for Communication for Development trainings and capacity building.

My research interests are in gender dynamics in designing, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of social and behavior change communication. 

My hobbies include meditation, watching reality TV and redesigning my clothes.
