My name is Gallow Jawneh, and I’m originally from The Gambia. I have an academic background in Development Studies and professional experience in community engagement, School Peer Health Education Program and youth advocacy. I’ve worked extensively with rural communities and schools on programs promoting health education, environmental sustainability, and conflict resolution.

My research interests are pretty broad, but I’m especially drawn to sustainability, youth empowerment, and social policy. I’m interested in how community-led initiatives can drive real change from the ground up.

A fun fact about me: I’m an avid football fan and believe sports can be a powerful tool for education, empowerment, and peacebuilding.
