Emmanuella Kwamee
Emmanuella Kwamee holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Erasmus University in the Netherlands and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the Christian Service University College in Ghana.
In 2016, Emmanuella was selected as part of 120 participants across West Africa to undergo a leadership training with the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), a program by the Obama Foundation where she honed her skills in civic leadership, community engagement and social entrepreneurship.
Emmanuella has worked as a Program Manager with over five years’ experience in the non-profit sector in Ghana and has led the implementation of six health-focused projects spanning Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, NCDs, Neglected Tropical Diseases and SRHR. Alongside project management, she has overseen organizational communications, mentored 23 volunteers (including nine international interns), and represented her organization at high-level international platforms in Europe and Africa.
At Ohio University, Emmanuella is pursuing a Master’s degree in Communication and Development Studies with a research interest that focuses on exploring how communication can effectively be used to advance social justice.
Emmanuella loves gardening and travelling and can speak a little Dutch.
