OHIO Debate Team wins College Public Forum National Debate
ATHENS, Ohio (Feb. 27, 2012)—Ohio University’s Debate Team won the title of National Champions of the College Public Forum National Debate Tournament at Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind., on Feb. 25, 2012.
The 2-1 victory over Ball State University in the final round gave the Bobcats enough points to win the National Championship Sweepstakes trophy as well. Additionally, junior Tom Pinney was named National Championship Speaker to help the Bobcats win all three national titles at the tournament.
This National Team award is the sixth national team championship the Ohio University Forensics team has won in the last 5 years.
