In April 2006, the Scripps Howard Foundation announced a $15 million gift to the College of Communication at Ohio University to support a wide variety of College of Communication programs and initiatives involving diversity, technology, teaching fellowships, scholarships, internships, visiting professional residencies and more. As a result of the historic gift, the college was renamed the Scripps College of Communication. Each year, we celebrate the partnership with an annual Scripps Day event.
