One of the nation's leading academic energy research organizations, the Ohio Coal Research Center (OCRC) is committed to providing innovative and responsible engineering solutions to ensure the availability of domestic energy sources while protecting the health and safety of the public and environment.  Supporting the Russ College's identity to "Create for Good" the center develops clean and economic solutions to address existing problems related to the conversion of coal, natural gas, oil, and biomass into electric power, fuels, and chemicals.  OCRC has expertise in catalytic materials synthesis, advanced reactor design and modeling, techno-economic analyses, and technology commercialization with work funded by major state/federal governmental agencies, industry partners, and foundations.
