Generally, it is recommended that students enter the program in the fall quarter. Applications are to be received by February 1 for entrance in the following fall quarter. Application forms can be downloaded or obtained from the address listed below, Irvine Hall 109, Ohio University, Athens, Ohio 45701. However, students are encouraged to apply online. Students are required to take the GRE General Test. The Subject Test in biology; chemistry; or biochemistry, cell and molecular biology is highly recommended. In the case of international students, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. Additional information is available in the Ohio University Graduate Catalog.
