Lancaster Campus

Welcome to the Ohio University Lancaster Campus, where you can discover your promise and realize your dreams.  Ohio University Lancaster offers the academic foundation of a university education, the convenience of a small campus setting, the affordability of state-assisted tuition, and relevant education for today's competitive job market.  We also provide convenience throughout Fairfield County by offering students the option to attend classes on the Lancaster Campus or Pickerington Center. Situated on 113 acres on the northern edge of Lancaster, the campus serves students from throughout central Ohio. A variety of associate and bachelor degree programs can be completed on the Lancaster Campus.  Ohio University also offers more than 250 majors, which you can begin in Lancaster or Pickerington and finish in Athens, at another regional campus or online.

Dr. Linda Trautman, Assistant Professor of Political Science, was recognized as the campus Phi Theta Kappa Professor of Year at the June 2011 Honors Convocation in Lancaster. Dr. Trautman teaches a variety of courses in American politics. She researches and is professionally active in the areas of political socialization, redistricting and electoral and legislative politics.

Dr. Linda Trautman, Assistant Professor of Political Science, presented at the 2013 Midwest Political Science Association conference in Chicago.  She led a panel called "Districts, Competition and Participation."


Joe Faber

Dr. Joseph Faber, Associate Professor of Biology, published a paper in the international peer-reviewed journal, Ecology of Freshwater Fish, this month.  He worked on this project with several colleagues from Canada. The article's title is "Biological traits of eastern sand darter (Ammocrypta pellucida) in the lower Thames River, Canada, with comparisons to a more southerly population."

Larry Lamb

Electronics Technology Instructor Larry Lamb is retiring.  He has worked at the Ohio University Lancaster Campus since 1985. Congratulations!

reid dillashaw

Reid Dillashaw is one of the OUL Students of the Month for May.   He is an Electronic Media major.  Dillashaw co-produced a radio show on WLOH.  He was also a member of the Social Media Team at OUL.

Debra Smith

Assistant Professor of Health Technology Debra Smith is retiring.  Smith has worked at the Ohio University Lancaster Campus since 2008.  Congratulations!

tammy herring

Tammy Herring is one of the OUL Students of the Month for May.  She is a member of L.E.A.D. and Phi Theta Kappa.  Herring also is a student worker at OUL and works at the Welcome Desk.
