Julie Mancine has received a Hagley Fellowship from University of Delaware's "Hagley Program in History of Technology and Industrialization," affiliated with the Hagley Museum and Library in Wilmington, Delaware. The Fellowship will cover tuition and provide a generous stipend, as well as a travel allowance, throughout her PhD work. Julie will also be gaining valuable teaching experience during half the semesters she is funded. Through the many conferences and other programs at the Hagley Museum, Julie will be able to interact with some of the premier scholars in the history of technology and consumer culture. Fellows also have special privileges at the Hagley Museum and Library. At the University of Delaware, Julie will have an opportunity to work with a number of scholars in her fields of interest, such as Arwen Mohun, Susan Strasser, Roger Horowitz, and Anne Boylan. The University of Delware's history program will also prepare her for work in museums, libraries, and archives, as well as teaching and research institutions.
