Paul C. Milazzo is Associate Professor of history. He received his A.B. from Amherst College (1991), and his MA (1994) & Ph.D. (2001) from the University of Virginia. In 2000-2001, he was a fellow at the Miller Center of Public Affairs at the University of Virginia. Professor Milazzo joined the faculty of the Ohio University Department of History in the fall of 2001, where he specializes in twentieth century American history. Professor Milazzo’s recent research has focused on environmental policy making in the United States Congress. His publications include "U.S. Water Pollution," in Char Miller, et al., eds., Water and the Environment Since 1945: Global Perspectives (Detroit: St. James Press/Gale Publications, 2001), pp. 257-63 and "The Environment," in Julian Zelizer, ed, The American Congress: The Building of Democracy (Boston: Houghton-Mifflin, 2004), pp. 601-615. His book, Unlikely Environmentalists: Congress and Clean Water, 1945-1972 was published by the University Press of Kansas in 2006.
