Since graduating from Ohio University I have found a number of ways to put my GLC skills to good use. In 2004, I worked on the Terry Anderson for Ohio Senate campaign. By the November election I had saved enough money to finance a trip to Mexico to seek opportunities in the tequila industry. It's a long story!
In 2005, I started my own consulting business with a focus in Workforce Investment Programs and public/private partnership development. During this time I developed a proposal for a statewide training initiative and pitched it to the assistant director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the director of USDA Ohio.
I am currently working as an Economic Value Creation (EVC) support consultant for Glomark Corporation in Dublin, OH. My role is to provide support research for our field consultants around the world. We work primarily in the IT industry, but we are branching out into new product development and product portfolio management in various industries including petrochemical and consumer products.
Glomark is a global leader in forecasting, comparing and tracking the economic value of investments/projects. www.glomark.com
I advocate for the GLC at every opportunity and credit the program with giving me the tools to succeed. I look forward to hearing great things from the GLC in the future and I am proud to be a part of the program!
