I'm currently in Athens working as the Communications Group Leader at Ohio University's Voinovich Center for Leadership and Public Affairs. I enjoy working with a diverse group of clients, from local government agencies to small businesses in our region, designing communication strategies and creating print and electronic media to meet their communication objectives.
I continue to travel as much as I can. The GLC ignited my travel bug years ago, and now I'm hooked. In 2006, I traveled to Acuña, Mexico; Toronto, Canada; and Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I spent most of my time in Honduras volunteering with Montaña de Luz, an orphanage for children with HIV/AIDS. Honduras was an eye-opening experience. It's a very troubled, yet very warm and welcoming country. As I travel, I am frequently reminded that our happiness in life is not at all tied to the things we have, but it is a disposition quite separate from our circumstances.
In addition to my work for the Center and taking time away to travel, 2006 marked the first year for rÄv design limited, a graphic, motion and interactive design firm my good friend (another OU alumnus) and I started. Business is good, and I'm enjoying my work as a creative outlet. |
