Since graduating from OU in June 2001, I moved to Chicago to accept a position with International Truck and Engine Corporation (Navistar International) in their Corporate Communications department. International is the modern-day company of the century-old International Harvester Company. In 2003, I took a promotion to become the communications manager at one of Navistar International's subsidiaries, SST Truck Company, in Garland, Texas, which is just outside of Dallas. I also started my MBA program at Southern Methodist University in the Fall of 2004.
After some debate over a few offers and options, I am the new Manager of External Communications at Celanese Corporation, based in Dallas. Celanese is a very global chemical company with operations primarily in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Actually, I’ll be traveling to Germany for a week later this month for the Annual Shareowner Meeting for our German subsidiary, Celanese AG.
