A native of Lancaster, Ohio, Bruce Hurley is currently completing his doctorate in the School of Communication Studies at Ohio University. Before returning to Athens, Bruce served as the Director of Civic Engagement and a Professor of Leadership Studies in Marietta College's McDonough Center for Leadership and Business. Apart from his domestic experience, Bruce also worked as a full-time instructor at Tarazsky Gosudarstvenniy Universitet (Taraz State University) in Kazakhstan (1998-2000). This assignment was part of his Peace Corps volunteer duties where he taught courses dealing with international development issues.

Samuel Wai Johnson is from Liberia. He is pursuing a graduate degree in International Development with concentration in Economic Policy in the Center for International Studies at Ohio University. Sam received his undergraduate degree in Economics with a minor in Demography from the University of Liberia and a Certificate in Peace building from the West Africa Peace building Institute in Ghana. Before entering Ohio University, Sam worked as a journalist, a junior officer for UNICEF Liberia Office and a teaching assistant in the Department of Economics at the University of Liberia. As a journalist, he worked with various media organizations in Liberia, including the USAID funded STAR radio and the radio station of the Catholic Church, Radio Veritas. He has held leadership positions in the Press Union of Liberia, the umbrella organization for journalists working in Liberia.

Pang Pichayalak Pichayakul has been with the GLC since Fall 2005. She is now working on her PhD.- Individual Interdisciplinary Program which consists of three areas: Communications, Telecommunication, and Southeast Asian Studies. She has earned a Bachelor Degree of Economics from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, an MBA from Eastern Michigan University, USA and a Doctor of Philosophy in Management from Adamson University, Philippines. Besides her academic work, she has spent her time in exploring the beauty of cultural differences; she has traveled around Asia, North America, Europe, and, Australia. Her interests are business, tourism, and culture.
