Currently, I am working for IBM's Global Business Services as a Financial Services Customer Relationship Management consultant in the Business Intelligence department. Since joining IBM in April 2007, I have worked on a project for CitiFinancial in Baltimore, MD and am currently working in Hartford, CT on a $800M project for CIGNA Healthcare. For this project, I have a role in the Project Management Office workstream managing project plans and status reporting, expense approvals, granting repository software accessibility, change control management, risk management, etc. I love what I do because I work in an environment that is dynamic and challenging. This job presents me with endless opportunities for professional development and personal growth as the GLC did. My job is unique in the sense that it allows me to live anywhere in the US and work somewhere completely different Monday - Thursday. Fridays I work from home on my laptop. IBM of course covers my air travel so therefore I have utilized this perk by traveling to cities such as Chicago, Norwalk, New York, Tampa, Clearwater, Atlanta, Carlsbad, San Diego - Pacific and Laguna Beach, Hartford, Washington DC, Minneapolis, Arlington, Stone Mountain, Baltimore, Annapolis, Charlotte, and just about everywhere in Ohio. Sounds fun huh? Don't kid yourself though, the job is quite demanding as the consultant lifestyle is not for everyone. However, I have learned to decrease my stress and lighten my workload by working smarter, not harder. As always, thank you GLC for everything and I miss everyone in my GLC family.
