Becoming a Nominee
Individual students cannot apply for the Cutler Scholars Program; potential scholars must be nominated by personnel at eligible secondary schools, by colleges of Ohio University, or by an organization with which they have a connection (e.g., an organization for which their parents work).
Students selected for the program are evaluated against rigorous standards and must excel both inside and outside the classroom. To be considered for a scholarship, a nominated student must show evidence of:
1. Personal integrity
2. Ability to lead and motivate others
3. Scholastic ability
4. Extracurricular achievements
5. Physical vigor
