Admissions Visitors

Prospective students and their guests who are visiting the campus for an Admissions information session and tour should receive a temporary parking permit from Admissions prior to their visit. If you arrive on campus without a permit, you can:

Park at city metered space on the street outside the 4th floor entrance. Meters generally have a 2-hour limit.
Park in the University Center Parking Garage and pay the posted rate. The entrance is located just past Baker Center on Oxbow Drive.
Park in the City Parking Garage and pay the posted rate. It is at the corner of University Terrace and W. Washington St. in uptown Athens which is five blocks from the 4th floor entrance to the University Center.

Parking Garage

Parking in the University Center Parking Garage is $.50 per hour for all users. Parking is not permitted 3-5 a.m. Further details are here. Limited reserved spaces can be purchased through Parking Services. Details are here. Event planners can arrange to pay for parking for their guests by contacting Baker Administration, Baker Center 347, (740) 593-4020.

Parking Lots

Lot 122 (the lot above the garage which is level with the Baker University Center Garage) is a "light brown" Faculty/Staff parking lot. This lot requires a valid faculty/staff permit at all times. Those without a permit for this lot are encouraged to utilize the pay-to-park garage facility.

City Meter Parking

Public metered parking is available along Mulberry and Court Sts, adjacent to the 4th floor (upper) entrance to the Center.

Campus Meter Parking

Public metered parking is available in University parking lot 134 (at the corner of S. Green and Oxbow Drives). You are responsible for paying meters as posted.

Faculty/Staff Permit

The surface lot located between the University Center and the Richland Ave. bridge, at the 1st floor level, is lot 122 and is designated “light brown”. A faculty/staff permit is required at all times.

Visitors

If you are a visitor to the campus or the University Center, you can park temporarily at a 15-minute pull-off near the 1st floor entrance and go to the Guest Services Desk inside the 1st floor entrance to get parking information.

Special Event Parking

Event planners can collect event attendees' parking garage tickets and bring them to be validated at the University Center Administration office, Baker Center 347, (740) 593-4020. When brought to the office, billing information will be collected from the event planner and a bill for the validated parking will be sent to the contact address provided.

Availability in the garage is not guaranteed for events, it is on a first come, first served basis.
