Power of the Vote

Power of the Vote:
A Non Partisan Defense of Democracy

The League of Women Voters has been one of the foremost non partisan voter advocacy groups in Ohio and across the US. Born out of the women's suffrage movement, the Ohio League has a proven century long track record of securing pro voter, pro democracy policies in Ohio, such as improving election integrity, securing funding for local Boards of Elections, and expanding access for histo rically disenfranchised groups. In 2020 alone, LWVO educated 1 million Ohioans about the power of their vote and voting logistics. Hear from Jen Miller, Executive Director of LWVO, on their efforts to end partisan gerrymandering, defend voter rights, and encourage robust participation in the fall election, as well as how you can make a difference in our democracy.
