About University College

University College serves both undecided/undeclared students who are exploring the University’s options before selecting a major and degree program and students who are pursuing unique degrees including the Bachelor of Specialized Studies, the Bachelor of Criminal Justice, and associate degrees. Our supportive environment gives you the structure and resources you need, while our professional advisors assist you in mapping out a successful path to degree completion. Through programs like Bobcat Student Orientation and Learning Communities, the First Year and Student Transitions (FYrST) Office helps first-year students succeed academically and socially and make a smooth transition to university life.

We foster student success for all students at OHIO, regardless of college or major, by providing critical university-wide academic services including accessibility services, advising, and academic assistance.

University College is a community dedicated to fostering a culture of Inclusive Excellence by committing to an environment in which all students and personnel feel valued and respected for their unique identities and contributions.

University College is home to programs and services like the Academic Achievement Center, Learning Community programs, and Student Accessibility Services, each of which help all undergraduates attain academic success. The College is also home to Ohio University's Army and Air Force ROTC programs.
