What are your next steps or plans for the future?
I will be attending law school at the University of Cincinnati.
What was your ah-ha moment at OHIO—that point where you said to yourself, “I’ve got this!”?
At the mechanical engineering project fair, I saw how far mine and my classmates’ projects have come. We had been working on our senior design projects for almost a full year, and it was very exciting to see everyone’s finished or almost finished projects.
Why did you choose OHIO?
I loved the community and beauty of Athens.
Who were your favorite professors and how did they make an impact on your life?
Dr. Cotton has been a great professor in fundamental courses like dynamics and heat transfer, which set me up for success in future classes. He has also encouraged me to pursue opportunities and has helped me to plan my courses and experiences.
What was the hardest hill you had to climb (not counting Jeff Hill) at OHIO? And how did you overcome challenges or obstacles in your path?
The most difficult part of my OHIO experience was balancing extra-curricular activities with a difficult course load. There are so many cool things to do and clubs to join, but classes always come first. Good time management and prioritizing the experiences I wanted to have let me make the most of my education and the opportunities in Athens.
What are your favorite OHIO memories?
Some of my favorite memories include making friends in my learning community as a freshman, and then being a learning community leader and helping to continue building community here at OHIO.
What’s the one thing you would tell a new OHIO student not to miss?
The homecoming parade!
