Kim Abeles, a Los Angeles–based social practice artist creates large-scale community projects with focus on environmental issues. Her work includes the subjects of urban environment, feminism, aging, HIV/AIDS, labor, domestic violence, and collective memory. The exhibition frugalworld demonstrates the effects of human waste and consumption on the environment.
