Learn how synthetic biology can solve some of the world’s biggest problems, such as access to clean water and sustainable chemical production, at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering first seminar of the year on Tues., Sept. 13, from 9-10:20 a.m. in Stocker Center 103.

The guest speaker will be Michaela Taravest, assistant professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at Michigan State University, who will discuss “Dissection and Redesign of Bacterial Respiration for Biotechnology.”
