From staff reports
The Ohio University School of Music is pleased to announce the OHIO Summer Music Camp for high school students. The summer camp, which runs from June 16-22, is open to vocalists, instrumentalists and pianists.
“Our music camp is distinctive because participants will be working directly with our talented School of Music faculty,” said Christopher Hayes, Director of the School of Music. “Participants of all skill levels will be able to learn one-on-one with faculty and will take part in a combined performance with the Under The Elms concert series.”
The camp is open to high school brass, keyboard, percussion, vocal, and woodwind students who want to enhance their musicianship and interact with other student musicians from across the state and region. Participants will develop their music skills through large ensemble participation, master classes, lessons, academic classes, one-on-one lessons, and concerts. Students in the Summer Music Camp will perform alongside musicians in the Under the Elms concert series on Wednesday, June 19.
Registration for the OHIO Summer Music Camp is still open until June 7.
