The weekend will include special celebrations for the College of Fine Arts 75th anniversary, the Honors Tutorial College (HTC) 40th anniversary, and the Post's 100th anniversary.
Kick off the weekend by celebrating Our Day on Thursday, April 12. Wear green and white and share your OHIO pride on social media websites.
Beginning Friday, the College of Fine Arts 75th Anniversary kicks off with the Athens International Film and Video Festival and School of Art Faculty Exhibition Reception that evening. Saturday's events include a cocktail reception followed by live open-air performances on College Green and a Celebration of the Arts at Memorial Auditorium. Breakfast with the Arts Alumni Advisory Board on Sunday morning concludes this celebration. To register for these events visit ohioalumni.org.
The celebration for the Honors Tutorial College 40th Anniversary begins Friday with coffee hour, career and gradudate school roundtables with students, and an Ellery Golos Lecture by Journalism Educator and Poynter Institute Fellow Adam Hochberg followed by a cocktail reception. Festivities continue Saturday morning with coffee hour and State of the College remarks by Dean Webster, a Student Showcase on Research and Creative Activity, and an HTC Banquet with award presentations and outstanding alumna talk. The Post's 100th Anniversary will feature programs on the newspaper's history, tours of the Post's offices, and opportunities for alumni and current "Posties" to connect.
During this weekend, the Alumni Association will also host the 2012 Alumni Leaders Conference for chapter and society volunteers. Alumni representing 26 chapters and 24 societies will be back on campus attending educational sessions to assist them in leadership of their alumni networks.
