Ohio University will be hosting its annual Kroger Day from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, in Baker University Center 507.
The open house sessions are designed as recruitment opportunities for students interested in pursuing a career with the Fortune 500 Company. Kroger is looking for talented individuals across all majors to apply for more than 100 internships and job opportunities that they offer.
"We are excited for this opportunity to bring Kroger executives on campus again to interact with Ohio University faculty, students and leaders," said Jacquelin R. Weber, Ohio University director of Donor Recognition & Stewardship Events.
This event has nearly doubled since last year. In previous years, Kroger Day was mainly tailored to the College of Business and the Patton College of Education and Human Services. This is the first year that the event has expanded to the College of Health Sciences and Professions and the Scripps College of Communications.
In between these recruitment open houses, Kroger executives will be visiting certain business, communications, nutrition, sales and retail classes throughout the day to speak.
"We look forward to furthering our relationship with the Kroger Co., building lasting partnership and synergies and hope that this special event continues to create valuable opportunities for our students," Weber said.
The recruitment open houses are open to all majors, and participants are encouraged to dress business casual.
