University Communications and Marketing
University Communications and Marketing serves the mission of Ohio University by designing and executing effective communications strategies in support of University initiatives and priorities. News, publications, video production, satellite operations, and Web production are all a part of UCM. Each of these media platforms is staffed with skilled professionals who use the latest technologies to convey University-related news and events and champion the institution’s programs, goals, and vision of the future. These messages serve both internal audiences (students, faculty, and staff) as well as external constituencies (alumni, parents, donors, and the general public).
In addition to the University's Web presence, UCM also produces Outlook, an Ohio University news Web site featuring daily updates, and publishes the University’s alumni magazine, Ohio Today, which has a circulation of more than 150,000. These publications, in addition to the hundreds of other media projects produced by UCM, play vital roles in linking alumni and constituents around the world with the important events and unique stories that continue to secure Ohio University’s stature as a national leader in education.
