Membership Purchasing and Renewal Methods

Campus Recreation has expanded its membership purchasing and renewal options. Patrons can now purchase or renew memberships one of three ways:

  1. In person at the Ping Center front desk*
  2. By phone at 740.593.9901* (renewals only) 
  3. Online at RecShop (see directions below)*

*Child and ongoing monthly debit memberships must be purchased or renewed in person at the Charles J. Ping Recreation Center Member Services desk during operational hours.

How to Purchase a Membership Online (RecShop)

OHIO Students and Faculty/Staff

  1. Visit RecShop
  2. Log into your account under Student/Faculty/Staff using your OHIO email and password
  3. Once you are logged in, select the three lined button in the top left corner
  4. Select “Facility Memberships." The options will populate based on your eligibility. If you believe the options available are incorrect, please call 740-593-9901
  5. Select the membership you are interested in
  6. Select your duration and start date
  7. Select “Add To Cart”
  8. Sign our Assumption of Rick by selecting each box, filling in the correct information and clicking “Save”
  9. Select “Sign Now”
  10. Select “Checkout”
  11. You will be directed to Transact Payments where you can complete the purchase of your new membership

Community Members

First time members must purchase their membership in person at the Ping Center during operational hours. We will assign you a PID number to create your account for future renewal! If you already have a PID number, please put this number (without the "P") in the "Member Information" field when you select “Sign Up” in the top right corner on RecShop, and then follow the instructions from 3 down in the section above to complete your membership purchase.

How to Renew a Membership Online (RecShop)

  1. Visit RecShop
  2. Select “Log In” in the top right corner
    • OHIO Students, Faculty, and Staff: Use your OHIO email address and password
    • Community members: Use your unique username and password you created when signing up online
  3. Select your username in the top right corner and choose “Profile”
  4. On the left-hand side, select “Membership”
  5. Determine which membership you would like to renew and select “Renew”
  6. Sign our Assumption of Risk by selecting each box, filling in the correct information and clicking “Save”
  7. Select “Sign Now”
  8. Select “Checkout”
  9. You will be directed to Transact Payments, where you can complete the purchase of your new membership
