The Institute for Sustainable Energy and the Environment (ISEE) conducts basic and applied research in a multidisciplinary team approach in key areas of advanced energy and environmental technology.  In partnership with the Consortium for Energy, Economics and the Environment (CE3), ISEE’s primary objective is to improve how we use our limited natural resources to produce power in an environmentally responsible way, and to improve the quality of the air we breathe.
The state of Ohio has recognized Ohio University’s state and national reputation for energy and pollution research, as well as its potential to create jobs in the field, by designating Ohio University as a Center of Excellence in Energy and the Environment for the state of Ohio.
