Sunday, April 14th

Soccer World Cup: International Student Union
3-9pm, Pruitt Field
This is an annual event for International Week throughout the years, it brings soccer fans from around the world together in one friendly competition. Students form teams that represent the continents of the world. You won't be a true fan of soccer unless you join the ISU World Cup!

Monday, April 15th

International Photography Contest Open House: Office of Education Abroad
3-5pm, Court Street Coffee
Student, Staff and faculty photographs will be on display. Winners from each of four categories will be unveiled at this event. All are welcome to stop by to have some coffee and admire the photos taken by students, staff and faculty while abroad.

Toni Blackman, Keynote speaker: International Week Committee
7-9pm, Baker Ballroom
An award-winning artist, her steadfast work and commitment to hip-hop led the U.S. Department of State to select her to work as the first ever hip-hop artist to work as an American Cultural Specialist. She has already served in Senegal, Ghana, Botswana, and Swaziland where her residencies include performance, workshops, and lectures on hip hop music and culture.

Tuesday, April 16th

Student Senate Panel
6pm, Baker 231
Come watch our panel highlighting several cultural perspectives on relationships. This includes but is not limited to customs and social standards regarding dating across multiple cultures. Representatives from selected cultures will be sharing their opinions, personal experiences, and comparisons to other relationship traditions in other societies. Feel free to drop by and see how your culture may differ from others as well as enjoy free snacks and refreshments!

Wednesday, April 17th

Global Meet and Greet: Care for Your World: Share Your World – ISFS & OEA
4-5pm, Walter International Education Center
In honor of Earth Day, join us for a conversation about the ways we can improve our environment here in Athens and abroad. We will have demonstrations of simple sustainability techniques to use on campus and at your home. Meet new friends and taste local and organic foods and drinks!

A taste of Study Abroad: Office of Education Abroad
5-7pm, Grover Atrium
Join us to taste international cuisine from all over the world while you learn about the many international education opportunities available through Ohio University and our affiliates. Each information table will have food representative of that country for attendees to taste. Free giveaways while supplies last.

Thursday, April 18th

Global Scoop: International Student Union, BSCPB, UPC
3-5pm, Baker Atrium 3 floor
Do you love ice cream? We will get that special flavor just for you!
Come visit our Global Scoop event to try world famous flavors from all over the world! We bring to you different flavors of ice in one place at one time… Enjoy all you like, as much as you like! This event is FREE and open to all.

Diversity in Education Abroad Panel Discussion: Office of Multicultural Student Access and Retention and Office of Education Abroad
6pm, Walter International Education Center
Ever considered studying abroad but wasn’t sure if it was for you? Then join current Ohio University students who have been abroad in a panel discussion as they share stories about their experiences. Students who studied in various continents will be represented and this is your chance to your get your questions answered from the student perspective.

Bobcat Tabletop: Residential Housing
7pm, Jefferson Hall Library
A weekly event on the campus, we play award winning board and card games from around the world.

International Craft Night: Marti & Stewie & International Student Union
9-11:30pm, Baker West 82
Marti and Stewie is a Martha Stewart inspired craft night that occurs on weekly on Thursday nights in Baker Center. We provide a variety of crafting opportunities. No special skills are needed. The program is designed to give students and opportunity to be creative, social, and sometimes even learn a new craft. In honor of International week, we will be providing a variety of craft opportunities from around the world!

Friday, April 19th

Talent Show: International Student Union
7-9pm, Baker Theater
ISU will honor cultures from around the globe. It will showcase the performances like acting, singing, dancing, or playing an instrument. This event demonstrates the importance of cultural diversity and international relations through entertainment. Please register in the ISU website: www.ohio.edu/~isu

Street Fair Pre-Party: OPIE Program
9-11:30pm, Bobcat Lounge
Let's get this party started!
The street fair may be on Saturday, but we'll get the celebrating started 12 hours earlier! Join us for music, food, games, new friends, and dancing. A DJ will be playing popular American and international music, so whether you just want to hang out with friends or burn a little energy before Saturday's main event, stop by and help us make this year's International Week the best ever!

Saturday, April 20th

International Street Fair
9am-5pm, Court Street
Join international students, alumni and friends, and student organizations in this daylong celebration of Ohio University’s multicultural diversity. Experience the unique sights, sounds, and tastes of international food, culture, and the arts. Get an application for a table or performance at WIEC or http://www.ohio.edu/orgs/isu/Register.html (applications due march 25th).

Come celebrate and learn about the different cultures that are all around you and represent the one you come from.
