April 15: Keynote Address,
Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium 7:30pm
This year’s keynote speaker will be Derreck Kayongo, founder of The Global Soap Project. In 1979, he fled civil war in Uganda as a refugee with his family when he was 10 years old. Since then, he earned leadership roles in non-profit organizations such as Amnesty International and CARE International, and was named a 2011 CNN HERO. His own non-profit, The Global Soap Project repurposes soap from hotels to produce 30,000 bars of soap per week, donating them to people in over 20 countries. Listen to him speak on empowerment, social entrepreneurship, and our international community.
The International Week Keynote Address is supported by the Ki-Chul Andrew Jung International Week Endowment Fund.
