Computer Integrated Manufacturing Lab
CIM lab provides hands-on based learning for seniors and graduate students in topics related to advanced manufacturing systems. Topics related to integrated product and process design, NC manufacturing, robotics, layout design, and manufacturing control are taught. Undergraduate elective courses ISE 402, ISE 442, ISE 489 and ISE 560 utilize the lab for practical lab projects. The lab contains the following equipment:
- CNC machines: EMCO NC Lathe, EMCO NC Mill and Grizzly NC Mill
- Industrial robot FANUC
- Coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
- Plastic injection machines
- 3D scanner
