Welcome to the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory (HFEL) at Ohio University Thank you for visiting our website. Human Factors and Ergonomics is the science of designing products and systems to match the abilities, needs, and limitations of people in order to improve productivity, safety, performance, and user happiness.
Our laboratory is utilized for teaching and research. The lab's director is Diana Schwerha, Ph.D. Please visit the links listed to the left to learn more about our research, capabilities, and people.
In 2012, Dr. Schwerha and Dr. Weckman were awarded a NIOSH Training Project Grant in Occupational Safety. We currently have funding for MS graduate students for the 2013-2014 academic year. For more information contact Dr. Schwerha at schwerha@ohio.edu.
