Computer organization recognizes faculty member
Sept. 29, 2011
Cindy Marling, associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science and a member of the biomedical engineering program faculty, was recognized recently by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) as a senior member.
The distinction acknowledges members with 10 years of professional experience, five years of continuous professional membership, and demonstration of performance that sets them apart from their peers.
Marling, whose research interests are artificial intelligence, case-based reasoning and medical informatics, is currently working on The 4 Diabetes Support System project, a collaborative effort with the Appalachian Rural Health Institute Diabetes and Endocrine Center.
