NIH funds BME faculty members' study of atherosclerosis
One biomedical engineering program faculty member is the principal investigator and two others are parts of the research team on a project that landed a $221,250 grant from the National Institutes of Health.
Ramiro Malgor, the principal investigator, is an assistant professor of pathology in biomedical sciences in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. The other BME faculty members involved are Kelly McCall, assistant professor of specialty medicine, and Douglas Goetz, professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering.
